A valuable resource for veterans – and a coveted honor for companies around the country – the annual Military Times Best for Vets rankings are the result of a meticulous, months-lonBest for Vets 2018g process. Military Times invites companies to fill out its nearly 100-question survey, tests to ensure the accuracy of responses, carefully evaluates survey data and includes only the best companies in its published rankings.

In their ninth year, the rankings evaluate companies’ culture, veteran recruiting, veteran policies, and accommodations for members of the National Guard and reserves. The standards are objective, rigorous, and editorially independent. As a result, transitioning service members recognize them as the most trusted veteran job rankings and have come to rely on Best for Vets Employers to aid their transition to civilian life.

Recipients of the Business Innovation Commander’s Award successfully improved services and support for acquisition programs, fleet customers, and employees through process improvement tools/methodology, which resulted in reduced cost and cycle time associated with acquisition, technology and administrative processes/tasks. Vice Admiral Paul Grosklags, Commander, Naval Air Systems Command, presented the award to Team Lead, Mr. Tom Spidel (AIR-1.7, Pax River) and honored the AMS Team during a ceremony at Patuxent River Naval Air Station on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
